Support CEFMA

So that the next edition is free as well.

For two days, 411 people from 20 countries met in the same room to talk about materials, energy and the environment. None of them paid to be there. There was no registration fee, no paywall to read the 184 contributions, and no hidden charge when asking for a certificate: whoever wanted in, got in.

Keeping that going costs money, and so far the CEFMA team has covered it out of its own pocket. The server this site runs on, the hosting, the email that carried every notice to your inbox, the storage for posters and videos, the domain. Taken one at a time they are small expenses; what weighs is that they never stop.

If this platform was of any use to you —if you found your poster in the gallery, if your certificate arrived, if you listened to a talk you could not otherwise have attended— you can help keep it standing. Whatever comes in goes entirely to the infrastructure and to making the next edition of CEFMA free again.

No large amounts are expected, and none are needed. This opens with a year ahead precisely because what adds up slowly, without hurry, is what makes it possible to open the next call without charging anyone.

What it pays for

We keep none of your data

Before you decide anything, it is worth knowing what happens here with your information: nothing. Card payments are handled by PayPal from start to finish, so CEFMA never sees, receives or stores your card or account details. This page asks for no sign-up, creates no profile, and is never matched against your conference registration.

Contributing changes nothing about your participation: not the review of a submission, not its place in the gallery, not your certificate. That is the same for everyone, and it will stay that way.

Thank you, truly

Whether you contribute or not, the thanks come first. This conference happened because 411 people chose to give it two days of their work, to upload their poster, to comment on someone else's and to stay and listen; that was by far the greatest support we received. The rest is help so that it can happen again.
