Nanostructures for energy storage
Dr. Álvaro Miranda Durán is a researcher at the Graduate Studies and Research Section of ESIME Culhuacán, at the Instituto Politécnico Nacional in Mexico City, where he is part of the core faculty of the master's programme in Energy Systems Engineering. He trained at that same school, first in communications and electronics engineering and later in its graduate programmes, and is a Level I member of Mexico's National System of Researchers. His work focuses on the physical and chemical properties of nanostructures applied to energy storage, molecular doping and its application in batteries, and gas detection in low-dimensional systems.
