Nanomaterials & aerogels
Dr. Tzipatly Angélica Esquivel Castro is a postdoctoral researcher in the Advanced Materials Division of IPICYT, in San Luis Potosí. Her background combines chemical engineering with materials science, backed by a doctorate in Materials Science and Technology from the Autonomous University of Coahuila. Her research centers on the design and synthesis of nanomaterials, aerogels and mesoporous materials for biomedical, environmental and agricultural applications, including controlled-release systems for drugs, biocides and fertilizers. Her lines of work include mesoporous composites for the gradual release of agrochemicals, materials that support seed germination and early plant growth, and the study of the optical, photoluminescent and thermoluminescent properties of phosphors. She is a member of Mexico's National System of Researchers.
