Dr. Armando Encinas Oropesa

Dr. Armando Encinas Oropesa is a senior researcher in the Advanced Materials Division of IPICYT in San Luis Potosí, and an Emeritus National Researcher at SNI Level 3. He trained as a physicist at the University of Sonora, earned a master's degree at the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí and a doctorate in Materials Physics at the University of Paris Sud in France, followed by a postdoctoral stay at the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium. His work centers on fabricating magnetic and metallic nanomaterials such as nanowire arrays, thin films, multilayers and nanoporous materials. He also studies their magnetic properties, magnetoresistance, microwave absorption and ferromagnetic resonance.
