Nanomaterials & solar energy
Dr. Arturo Isaías Martínez Enríquez is a Full Researcher at Cinvestav's Saltillo Unit and a Level III member of Mexico's National System of Researchers. His work bridges the fundamental physical properties of nanomaterials and their technological applications, and he leads the Nanostructures Laboratory, equipped for electrical, optical, magnetic and thermal characterization. His recent research targets solar cells, selective reflective coatings for thermal energy conversion, and iron-oxide nanostructures for removing arsenic from drinking water. He has also mentored students in the synthesis and characterization of transparent semiconducting thin films based on ZnO and SnO2. He earned his doctorate in Science from UNAM in 2006.
