Dr. Carlos Inocencio Cortés Martínez

Dr. Carlos Inocencio Cortés Martínez is a mechanical engineer with a master's and doctorate in Sciences in Conservation and Management of Natural Resources. He is a professor-researcher for TecNM at the Instituto Tecnológico del Valle de Etla, in Oaxaca, where he trains undergraduate, master's and doctoral students and leads research and technological development projects. He is a Level 1 member of Mexico's National System of Researchers. His work bridges engineering and biotechnology for the agri-food sector, with materials-oriented lines such as obtaining micro and nanocellulose from agro-industrial residues and preparing polymer composites reinforced with nanomaterials.
