Dr. Cristopher Heyser Valencia is an industrial chemist and holds a doctorate in Sciences with a specialization in Chemistry from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. He works as an academic in the Department of Chemical Sciences and Natural Resources at the Universidad de La Frontera, in Temuco, where he teaches physical, general and analytical chemistry. His main line is the electrochemistry of semiconductors and their use as electrochemical sensors for various target species. He also researches astrochemistry, examining how reactive species form and break down in atmospheric processes, and has authored WoS-indexed publications.
