Dr. Fabian Dietrich

Dr. Fabian Dietrich is an associate professor in the Department of Physical Sciences at the University of La Frontera in Temuco. His research targets materials science for energy storage, drawing on DFT simulations and surface science. He has investigated new cathode materials and the diffusion and intercalation of lithium in order to improve the capacity, power and performance of lithium-ion batteries. He also examines intermolecular forces and structure–function relationships, and one of his studies was featured on the cover of the journal Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics.
