Dr. José Vulfrano González Fernández

Dr. José Vulfrano González Fernández is a full-time professor in the Department of Basic Sciences at the Technological Institute of San Luis Potosí, part of Mexico's Tecnológico Nacional de México, and directs the campus's newly opened Semiconductor Research and Development Laboratory. He earned his doctorate at the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí in 2015, with a thesis on optical spectroscopies applied to semiconductor nanostructures. His profile combines nanoscale fabrication, semiconductor materials, advanced multiphysics modeling and the development of computational algorithms. He is a Level 1 member of Mexico's SNII, part of Peru's RENACYT, and an honorary collaborator of the Laboratoire Aimé Cotton in France.
