Dra. Karina Massiel Muñoz Becerra

Dr. Karina Massiel Muñoz Becerra is a chemist with a degree in Industrial Chemistry from the Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana and a doctorate in Chemistry from the Universidad de Santiago de Chile, where she was recognized as the best student in her 2015 doctoral cohort. She completed a postdoctoral stay within the Millennium Project on Chemical Processes and Catalysis at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She is currently an academic researcher in the Chemistry Department of the Universidad Bernardo O'Higgins, in Santiago. Her research focuses on electrocatalysis and materials chemistry, emphasizing coordination polymers, catalytic materials, electrochemical studies and the use of density functional theory to characterize materials.
