Dr. María Verónica Carranza Oropeza is a research lecturer at UNMSM's Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, in Lima. A chemical engineer from the National University of Callao, she earned her master's and doctorate in Chemical Engineering at the Escola Politécnica of the University of São Paulo, Brazil. Her work centers on polymer synthesis and processing, nanotechnology and bionanotechnology, along with materials characterization techniques. She has led projects on nanoparticle hydrogels for agriculture aimed at managing water and salinity stress and improving the nutritional quality of crops.
