Óscar Armando Jorge Deodanes

Óscar Armando Jorge Deodanes is an early-career researcher in the Optical Spectroscopy Laboratory of the School of Physics at the University of El Salvador, where he is pursuing a doctorate in Physical Sciences. His work focuses on fabricating thin films and nanostructured semiconductors, including graphene and carbon nanostructures, for eco-friendly optoelectronic devices such as solar cells and LEDs. He has presented work on quantum dots as downconversion materials and on LED prototypes based on carbon nanostructures. He has received distinctions from Purdue University and first place in El Salvador's CNR 'Generando Ideas Disruptivas' contest in 2023.
