Dr. Kamaraj Sathish-Kumar is a research professor at CICATA Altamira of the National Polytechnic Institute, where he is part of the core faculty for the graduate programs in Advanced Technology. He earned his doctorate in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at CINVESTAV-IPN. His research focuses on bioelectrochemistry, particularly microbial fuel cells and biobatteries that use biocatalysts to generate electricity from organic matter while treating polluted environments. He also works on green synthesis of nanomaterials for energy and environmental applications and co-edited a book on sustainable nanomaterials published by Routledge/CRC Press.
